Welcome to Marks Gate Junior School. Marks Gate Junior is a three form entry school for pupils aged seven to eleven years old. There are currently 262 pupils enrolled.
Marks Gate Junior is situated in the most northern part of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, and principally serves the community in the area north of the A12.
The school was opened in 1964. It consists of four wings, a double demountable classroom and a single demountable learning base. There is a double storey classroom block and a single storey classroom block, with a computer room and a resource room. The remaining two wings house offices and a spacious assembly hall that also serves as a gymnasium and a dining hall. The school is particularly fortunate in having some of the largest playground areas and playing fields in the borough.
